Seafood Market & Restaurant Closes Its Doors at Dana Park

After 34 years of serving the Mesa community, the Seafood Market & Restaurant at Dana Park has officially closed its doors. The family-owned restaurant, originally founded in 1991 by Pablo Reynoso, served its final meals on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

A Mesa Staple for Over Three Decades

Seafood Market & Restaurant was more than just a place to eat—it was a beloved neighborhood institution. Known for its fresh crab, oysters, shrimp cocktail, King Salmon, and lobster, it also featured a seafood market where customers could take fresh fish home. The restaurant earned a loyal following, praised for its cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices, and quality meals.

A Thoughtful Farewell

The closure was announced via the restaurant's social media platforms, where the owners shared a heartfelt message with the community. Pablo Reynoso, who started the business, made the decision to retire, officially bringing the restaurant’s long and successful run to a close.

Legacy Lives On in Downtown Gilbert

While the doors have closed at Dana Park, the Reynoso family's culinary legacy isn’t ending. Pablo’s son, also named Pablo, owns SoCal Fish Tacos in Downtown Gilbert—and he plans to honor the family tradition by bringing some of the Seafood Market & Restaurant’s most popular menu items to his restaurant. It’s a welcome continuation for longtime fans who aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to their favorite dishes.

Community Reaction

Mesa locals were quick to share their memories and support online. Many long-time customers expressed sadness about the closure while also sharing stories of family dinners and favorite dishes. The outpouring of appreciation highlighted just how much of a fixture the Seafood Market & Restaurant had become over the years.
