Lakeside Village Proposed Near 4 Silos in Gilbert

A new commercial development concept called Lakeside Village has officially been proposed to the Town of Gilbert, bringing a completely different vision than the traditional Arizona strip center. The proposed project would be located on the east side of Higley Road between Elliot and Warner Roads near 4 Silos and would feature a 15.47 acre office and retail village designed as a clustered farmstead compound with distinct buildings, open green space, water features, and large silo elements incorporated into the design.

Instead of one large commercial building surrounded by parking lots, Lakeside Village is designed to create more of a walkable destination with multiple cottage-style structures spread throughout the property. Early renderings show tree-lined pathways, gathering areas, fountains, landscaped courtyards, and architecture inspired by Gilbert’s agricultural roots while still bringing modern office, dining, and retail space to the area.

One of the most unique elements in the proposal is the farmstead-inspired design featuring silo structures and clustered buildings that give the project a community-focused feel rather than a typical retail layout. The concept feels heavily influenced by the type of architecture and atmosphere residents love in neighborhoods like Morrison Ranch and Agritopia, blending modern development with a timeless Gilbert aesthetic.

The project also appears designed around experience and lifestyle rather than simply shopping. The mix of open green space, waterfront features, walkability, and gathering areas could make Lakeside Village feel more like a destination where people spend time, meet friends, grab coffee, dine outdoors, or work remotely throughout the day.

At this stage, plans have only been proposed to the Town of Gilbert and no tenants have officially been announced. However, the renderings and overall concept are already creating buzz because the project stands out from most commercial developments currently being built throughout the Valley.

If approved, Lakeside Village could become one of the most visually unique office and retail developments in Gilbert.
