Paris Baguette Planned for Power and Ray

The former Village Inn near Power and Ray roads is getting a sweet new tenant.

Paris Baguette, an international bakery café known for its freshly baked pastries, breads, cakes and specialty drinks, is planning to open at the East Valley intersection. The bakery will take over the former Village Inn building, bringing new life to the longtime restaurant space.

Despite its name, Paris Baguette actually began in South Korea and has since expanded into a global brand with thousands of locations. The company continues to grow throughout Arizona, including existing cafés in Chandler, Mesa and Phoenix.

Paris Baguette offers a large selection of sweet and savory items baked fresh throughout the day. Customers can expect croissants, fruit-filled pastries, donuts, danishes, sandwiches and artisan breads. The café is also well known for its elaborate cakes, which are available by the slice or as full cakes for birthdays and other celebrations.

The drink menu typically features hot and iced coffee, espresso beverages, teas, refreshers and seasonal specialties. Unlike a traditional counter-service bakery, most Paris Baguette locations allow customers to grab a tray and choose their own pastries from the display before checking out.

An official opening date for the Power and Ray location has not yet been announced. The project appears to still be in its early stages, so additional details could change as plans move forward.

The arrival of Paris Baguette will give residents around Power Ranch, Eastmark and southeast Mesa another option for morning coffee, pastries, lunch and celebration cakes.
