UPDATE: Chick-fil-A and CAVA Joining Medina Station in East Mesa

by KEVIN MCKIERNAN

One of the East Valley’s largest upcoming retail developments just added two more major names to its growing tenant lineup. Chick-fil-A and CAVA are officially planned for Medina Station, the massive mixed-use development located on the east side of Signal Butte Road just north of the US-60 in East Mesa.

The project is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated new shopping and dining destinations in the area. The addition of Chick-fil-A and CAVA adds even more momentum to a development that is already packed with major national brands and popular restaurant concepts.

Previously announced tenants at Medina Station include:

  • Target
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods
  • O.H.S.O Brewery
  • Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels
  • Handel’s Ice Cream
  • Five Guys
  • Café Zupas

The major anchor tenants including Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods are currently expected to open in early fall of 2026, with additional restaurants and retailers likely opening in phases around the same timeframe.

With the combination of retail, dining, entertainment, and nearby residential growth, Medina Station is expected to completely transform the Signal Butte corridor over the next several years.

CAVA continues to rapidly expand across Arizona and has quickly become one of the most requested fast-casual restaurant concepts in the Valley. Known for its Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, and customizable menu, the brand has built a strong following throughout the Phoenix metro area.

Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A remains one of the most in-demand drive-thru restaurants in Arizona, often drawing large crowds wherever new locations open.

Construction activity at Medina Station has continued to ramp up, with grading and infrastructure work already visible on-site. Once completed, the development is expected to become a major hub for East Mesa residents who previously had to drive farther west for many of these dining and shopping options.
