Mo’ Bettahs Planning First Arizona Location at Power & Ray
A new restaurant concept is heading to Gilbert, and it will mark the brand’s first location in Arizona. Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food is planning to take over the former Carl’s Jr. building in the Walmart plaza at Power Road and Ray Road.
Mo’ Bettahs is known for its popular Hawaiian plate lunches, a classic island-style meal typically served with two scoops of rice, macaroni salad, and a choice of protein. Popular options include teriyaki chicken, katsu chicken, pulehu grilled chicken, kalua pulled pork, steak, and shrimp, all served with their signature island-style sauces.
The brand was founded by two brothers from Oʻahu, who started the concept to share the traditional food and culture they grew up with in Hawaii. The restaurant has grown rapidly in recent years, expanding across several western states, and the Gilbert location will represent its first entry into the Arizona market.
The restaurant will move into the existing standalone drive-thru building in the busy Power and Ray Walmart shopping center, giving the space a completely new concept while adding another quick and unique dining option to the area.
With Hawaiian BBQ continuing to grow in popularity, Mo’ Bettahs will bring another island-inspired dining experienceto the East Valley once the new location opens.
