Ajo Al’s Mexican Café COMING SOON

A familiar Valley favorite is heading to Mesa. Ajo Al’s Mexican Café, known for its vibrant Sonoran-style cuisine, will be opening a brand-new location at the corner of Baseline Road and Burk Street. This will mark the fifth Valley location for the family-owned restaurant, continuing its steady growth across the Phoenix metro area. The new Ajo Al’s will take over a 3,172-square-foot building originally constructed in 1998. The property was purchased in early 2024 for $2 million by Ajo Al’s from the group that had previously acquired Z’Tejas. That group purchased the building in 2022 for $1,805,000, but the space is now being reimagined for one of Arizona’s most iconic Mexican eateries. With a reputation for hearty portions, scratch-made recipes, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere, Ajo Al’s has become a go-to spot for locals craving traditional dishes with bold flavor. The new Mesa location is expected to bring the same signature experience, featuring favorites like green chile enchiladas, carne asada tacos, and their famous margaritas. Located on a high-visibility corner with easy access to both residents and commuters, this new spot is poised to become a neighborhood staple. No official opening date has been announced yet, but renovations are already underway.
